Yondan (4th Dan), Dojo leader

Myriam began training aikido in 2002. She co-founded the Bullockhead Creek dojo with Mark Hatfield in 2009 and became dojo leader in 2011. She has visited and taught at NYC dojo in 2008 and trained with Sensei Maruyama in Nagoya in 2008 and 2010, as well as many times on his visits to Australia.

Nidan (2nd Dan), Senior instructor

Chris began training aikido in 2012. He recently undertook acting dojo leader duties at Bullockhead Creek, and aims to open his own dojo one day. He has trained several times with Sensei Maruyama on his visits to Australia.

Tanya trained briefly at our Darra dojo before returning in 2018 to Springfield Lakes. Tanya instructs the Saturday classes, and helps with other instruction during the week. She has recently trained in Japan with Sensei Maruyama.

Shodan (1st Dan), Senior instructor

Gavin began aikido training in 2018. He instructs the children’s classes and is an occasional instructor for adults classes.

Vu started his aikido training at our Darra dojo in 2014, and returned in 2020 to the Springfield Lakes dojo. He helps out with instruction in the adult and children’s classes. He has recently trained in Japan with Sensei Maruyama.

Evelyn began her training in 2019. She helps out with some of the children’s and adult classes.

Zac began his aikido training as a child in 2013. He regularly assists with children’s classes and aims to open his own dojo one day.
